Zsa Zsa Gabor in hospital, still in critical state

On the morning of October 9, Hollywood icon Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the hospital in critical state, Daily Mail reports. She was found unconscious at her home during the morning and the doctors say she is still very unstable.  Gabor will remain in the hospital overnight for monitoring.

On Saturday morning, Prince Frederick von Anhalt, the husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor, found his wife in an unconscious state and bleeding. The 50s star, who is now 94 years old, was immediately rushed to the hospital, where it was discovered that her feeding tube had fallen off and a lot of blood and bodily fluids filled her stomach. The feeding tube was reattached and the medical team is trying to stabilize her.

In the last decade Zsa Zsa Gabor made several critical visits to the hospital. In 2002 she was involved in a car accident that left her partially paralyzed. After spending a few weeks in the hospital, she was released. In 2005 she suffered a stroke and underwent a surgery in order to remove a blockage of an artery. Two years later, in 2007, she had to be operated once more. Last year, in July, she was rushed to the hospital following a major hip injury after she fell at home. She was operated again, this time for hip replacement.  She spent a few weeks at home but returned in critical state after the removal of two blood cloths. She was hospitalized again in the fall of 2010 and in January 2011 she got one of her legs amputated above the knee due to gangrene. In May, her feeding tube fell off. She went into a coma and was unresponsive for several days in a row.

Gabor’s publicist, John Blanchette, said that at first, when he was contacted by von Anhalt, he heard that Zsa Zsa was in “very bad” condition. Even though the actress is not yet stable, she responded well to antibiotics. She will spend the night in hospital, under close medical supervision.
