The once Prince of Bel-Air is not exactly reputable for having a temper. But at a red carped paparazzi session in Moscow, the actor and former rap star, lost his patience. Will Smith slapped a reporter on the red carpet for trying to kiss him.
TMZ reports that Will Smith had quite a day this Friday in Moscow. He was there to attend the “Men in Black 3” movie premier when a quite embarrassing and tricky situation developed. An Ukrainian male reporter came a bit too close to Will Smith’s lips, as he was trying to kiss him on the lips. Yes, you’re reading this right!
The actor lost his cool for just a few seconds, but it was enough for the cameras to click and record the moment. Needless to say the moment went viral on the internet. The male reporter starts by kissing Will Smith on the cheeks two times and then he moves his microphone in the right hand and simply grabs the actor by his neck.
The “Men in Black” star seemed quite pissed as he pushed the reporter away from him. And then he slappped him with his backhand right across his face. Will Smith was heard screaming at the reporter: “What the hell is your problem, man?” After the slap occurred, Will Smith told someone close to him: “He tried to kiss me on my mouth. He’s lucky I didn’t sucker punch him…Sorry, I said that on camera”.
TMZ writes that according to a source that was there at the time of the unfortunate event, “the reporter’s mouth brushed up against Will’s and that’s why the actor reacted so violently. Despite the incident, Will stayed positive…and happily continued to sign autographs”.
Another source tells People mag that despite the embarrassing moment, Will Smith remained “a good sport about it and thought it was funny after the fact”. “He was laughing and joking about it. He continued doing the press line for another hour and signing autographs and taking pictures with fans” relates the source.
The Ukrainian male reporter that got slapped by Will Smith is famous for his thing. He’s with 1+1 and Will Smith isn’t the only star that got mouth kissed by him.
