Many more rumors surface each day about Jay-Z and Beyonce’s baby girl, Blue Ivy. According to a recent report published in Us Weekly, people are interested in finding out who will be Blue Ivy’s godmother. These suppositions have been partially furnished by the media and partially by Internet users who spread the rumor that Blue Ivy’s godmother is Oprah Winfrey on Wednesday and Thursday.

Reporters assailed Beyonce and Oprah Winfrey to find out the truth behind these rumors. The singer was not available for comments, but her rep told the media that the rumor is not true. Gayle King, who is Oprah’s best friend, explained the whole situation on the Friday edition of CBS’ “The Early Show”.

King declared that the Winfrey is a good friend of the two parents, but she is definitely not the godmother of the baby girl. The TV host is a good friend of Beyonce and has tried to send a baby gift ever since Blue was born. Unfortunately, Winfrey was not able to send any gifts because she had to leave to Africa right when the baby was born on January 7.

Kathy Griffin also mentioned the rumor on her Twitter page. She was very surprised to hear that Beyonce might choose Oprah as a godmother for her daughter. Not that the two don’t get along, but actress Gwyneth Paltrow is a good friend of Beyonce and Jay-Z and she would be more than happy to baptize the girl. As a matter of fact, Griffin suggested that the actress might be really mad if the rumor turned out to be true.

While the godmother remains unknown for the moment, reporters already know who the godfather is. According to the hip hop gossip site MediaTakeOut, the godfather of the child is Jay-Z’s good friend Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith.   

Beyonce’s former colleague, Kelly Rowland visited the 30-year-old mom after birth. She said in a recent interview that Blue Ivy is one of the most beautiful children she has ever seen. The first-time mom is not ready to make her post-birth appearance yet.
