Vanessa and Nick Lachey announced on Wednesday September 12 that they are the proud parents of son Camden John. This is the first child of the Lachey family, but the couple plans to have many more children in the future, according to Us Weekly.

Vanessa Minnillo and her husband Nick Lachey met their son, Camden John for the first time on Wednesday, September 12. According to the couple’s declarations, the little boy came into the world around 6:54 p.m. measuring 8lbs 9oz and 21 inches. The moments was incredibly special for Vanessa and Nick who declared that love has acquired a new meaning since they met their little baby boy.

The pair has been married for only one year as they exchanged vows during a special ceremony held on the Necker Island, on July 15, 2011. Nick has been married before as in 2002 he tied the knot with singer Jessica Simpson, but divorced in 2005. His new wife, Vanessa, was never married before, so she was truly impressed by the romantic wedding ceremony.

Nick was probably the most anxious to become a parent, judging by the statements he made in the interviews he released for the Us Weekly magazine this summer. He prepared for the big event in advanced by decorating the nursery and purchasing a stroller and a car seat for the baby. He, nevertheless, feels that he will never be prepared enough for parenthood as there will always be new things coming his way.

The couple feels they have been through a lot of changes since they got married. Their relationship evolved a lot in the past year; however, they were glad things happened the way they did as they are now happier than ever.
