Tom Hanks showed up today in “Good Morning America” to talk about his new film, “Cloud Atlas”. Instead of promoting his new movie, Tom Hanks shocked with an F-Bomb he dropped right in the middle of his interview on “Good Morning America”.
It’s always the celebrities you’re having a hard time imagining as potty-mouthers that surprise. But, this being the single time (we know off) Tom Hanks dropped the F-bomb on TV, it took both the actor and host Elizabeth Vargas by surprise. Realizing what he had just said, Tom Hanks remained shocked and then apologized to the children in America.
We’d say it wasn’t Tom Hanks fault for dropping the F-bomb on “Good Morning America”, even if it was an accident. Tom Hanks and Vargas were talking about “Cloud Atlas” and were poking fun at the actor’s accent in the movie, when he tried to give them a sample of it after the host kept pushing for it.
Tom Hanks even warned it’s going to be “mostly swear words” but he gave it a shot that turned into an F-bomb dropping. So, whereas we didn’t get most of what Tom Hanks said, “f**king boots” sounded pretty clear. He stopped as soon as he realized what he said and covered his mouth in shock.
“We are so sorry, America” said a visibly shocked Elizabeth Vargas. “Man, oh, man” she added. Tom Hanks apologized too. “I’m sorry. I slipped into a brand of acting. I have never done that before” the actor excused himself. “I apologize to the kids in America that are watching this right now, and let me say that the next time I’m on the show there will be a seven-second delay” he added.
And Tom Hanks even found a scapegoat. Obviously, it was the staff’s fault for dropping the F-bomb on live TV. “And I think I might’ve just made that a little incomprehensible to some people. Never give me a hand-held mic. I blame the staff. I blame the staff. Man, oh, man” he added as he pointed fingers.
Earlier this week, Tom Hanks described his new movie, “Cloud Atlas” to be just “as risky as Inception”. “I loved that it wasn’t going to be simple for audiences. Lord, doesn’t that sound beautiful? A film that is original, creative and makes you think. That’s what movies used to be” the actor added.
