The jury of the third season of “The Voice” has crowned a new winner, that is, Cassadee Pope. The new voice on the rise has received a deal with Universal Records and $100,000, according to a recent report published by Us Weekly.

Talent shows like “The Voice” don’t really float my boat, but most, if not all viewers don’t seem to share my opinion on the matter. A new season finale took place on Tuesday evening breaking rating records as the jury was getting ready to announce the new winner of the season, Cassadee Pope.

The former lead vocalist of the band “Hey Monday” had to compete against powerful and equally talented voices. Cee Lo Green’s team was represented by Nicholas David, whereas the other contestant in Blake Shelton’s team was Terry McDermott. In the end, it was Cassadee who was named the most promising voice of the show and received the aforementioned prizes.

Leaving the competition aside, there have been many elements that determined viewers to stay tuned throughout the entire show. First of all, the duets between the contestants and pop starts like Smokey Robinson, The Killers, Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson were incredibly entertaining. Second of all, Rihanna and Bruno Mars went on stage and delighted the crowd with their most recent singles. RiRi performed a slower version of her track “Diamonds”, while Bruno Mars thought the season 3 finale of “The Voice” is the perfect occasion for him to debut his new single “When I Was Your Man”.

Adam Levine was particularly touched by this season finale because it was the last time he and coaches Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera worked together. The latter decided to take some time off next year, so they will be replaced by Usher and Shakira. Levine described the moment as “bittersweet” and joined his three colleagues for a perfect rendition of “Time Of Your Life”.
