Days after announcing her departure from the show, producers unveiled the real reason why Jennifer Lopez left “American Idol”. According to them, the diva wasn’t looking for a bigger payday because producers offered to give her more money, but she turned their offer down.
Steven Tyler was the first to announce his departure from the talent show, “American Idol”. His announcement convinced Jennifer Lopez that there was no reason for her to continue her collaboration with Fox’s program and she immediately released a statement about her withdrawal. The media has speculated that the Latin diva and the producers of the broadcast did not reach an agreement during negotiations for the third season, but the rumors were denied.
Fox told the press that Lopez did not request a $2 million raise to appear in the third season; on the contrary, the company made her a better offer this year, but she rejected it, anyway. JLo explained them that being on the show for two seasons was more than she had ever planned. In addition, she has a very busy schedule and she can no longer take care of everything. Some sacrifices have to be made, so Jennifer chose to put an end to this project.
The singer plans to focus on other aspects of her life, such as, her family, her music and her film career. True artists have to expand the horizons of their careers and Lopez knows this. This is the reason why she decided to start a new fashion business, another activity that Jennifer has to take care of.
During a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, the mother of two stated that it was very difficult for her to leave the show. Even though she had a great time during the “American Idol” because she felt she was making part of a big family, Jennifer decided she needed to get involved in other activities, as well.
