This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Transformers: Dark of the Moon Premiered in the United States on June 28, 2011. With a running time of 155 minutes and a cast that is not easy to forget, the third movie in the Transformers franchise has hit the theaters.
Five days after releasing the movie at the Moscow International Film Festival, Transformers is finally in the United States theaters. The film had a budget of 195 million dollars and was directed by Michael Bay. The film is starring Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteleu, Patrick Dempsey, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, John Malcovich and Frances McDormand. Missing from the picture is sexy vixen Megan Fox, who, after being announced as cast in te movie, was replaced in this series by Victoria’s Secret lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Fox’s character, Mikaela, was dropped, while Sam’s romantical interest was moved towards Rosie’s character.
The film, like the other before it, is based on the “Transformers” by Hasbro. Ehren Kruger, who collaborated in the writing of the last film, took part in writing it this time as well. Director Michael Bay sated this will be his ast installment of the series.
Shia LaBeouf plays Sam, the leading human character. He if friends with the Autobots who give him a grappling gun glove to help fight.
Josh Duhamel plays U.S. Army Lt. Colonel William Lennox, who is the commanding officer of NEST.
Agent Simmons is played by John Turturro.He is a former agent of the Sector 7 Unite, which was terminated.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley plays Sam’s new crush, Carly Spencer. Her character is somewhat based on the original Carly Spencer character in the 1984 series. For the role, Michael Bay, who worked with Whiteley bofore on Victoria’s Secret commercials, had to choose from her and another two models: Brooklyn Decker and Sarah Wright.
Patrick Dempsey us Dylan Gould, Carly’s boss. He loves speed and cars. He has a huge collection of cars and is described by the actor as being “dark” and “significant to the plot”.
