The New Dell Venue 10 7000

Dell has unveiled on Wednesday the new Android-powered Venue 10 7000. It seems that this tablet is the bigger version of the Dell Venue 8 7000, one of the most successful tablets of the year. Well, Venue 10 7000 approximately shares the same features as Venue 8 7000. When buying this tablet, users will find inside a quad-core Intel Z3580 processor, with a 2.3GHZ and powered by 2GB of RAM.

Dell Venue 10 7000 also comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and Intel’s RealSense technology, allowing owners to focus on images, after the photo was taken, and measure the distance between items in a pic. Without a doubt, this is an interesting feature. Other features include a 7,000mAh battery, which the company claims that will go around 15 hours of usage and a microSD that will go up to 512GB. Probably, the most significant change between Venue 8 and Venue 10 is the display. This new tablet comes with a 10.5-inch OLED display and a pixel resolution of 2,560×1,600. An incredible screen that features approximately 287 pixels per inch. To be mentioned that this new tablet is the first tablet made by Dell that ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, Dell also included some of its own apps on the device.

Another big flag about this new Venue 10 is that it also has an option keyboard dock, like Microsoft’s Surface keyboard. After tapping a little on the backlit keys, it felt nicer that Microsoft’s keyboard cover. Both keyboard and trackpad are very responsive, made by good materials, and users can complete their work on it. After the tablet is connected to the keyboard dock, it can be used in several positions, like presentation mode, laptop mode, tent mode and slate mode. On the bottom of the slate are placed rounded speakers, which is unusual, but they have an interesting design. Dell declared that the design of the speakers allow them to face forward no matter the position of the tablet. It is worth knowing that it was a smart design choice for Dell. Actually, they sound good even at maximum volume.

Dell Venue 10 7000 is available in 16GB or 32GB. The 16GB version comes at the price of 499 dollars without keyboard. With the keyboard, the price will be 629 dollars.
