A recent report on the Associated Press reads that Sylvester Stallone’s son, Sage, was found dead in his Hollywood Hills apartment, on Friday afternoon. According to the first police report, the death of the 36-year-old man was caused by an overdose of prescription pills.
Sylvester Stallone was enthused over the promotion of his recent movie “The Expendables 2” at the Comic-Con Festival in San Diego. His happiness was soon shattered by the news that his 36-year-old son named Sage was found dead on Friday afternoon. An LAPD patrol performed a welfare check around 2:17 p.m. and discovered the lifeless body of the actor’s son.
After a brief investigation, police officers concluded that the abuse of prescription pills was most likely the cause of the man’s death. Nevertheless, the LAPD’s Commander Andrew Smith refused to confirm the first report because no toxicology tests have been performed yet. He reassured the press that he will release a clarifying statement as soon as he gets the results.
Stallone’s reps told the press that the actor “is devastated and grief-stricken” over the loss of his 36-year-old son, Sage Stallone. “The Expendables” star is doing everything he can to show his support to Sage’s mother, Sasha. The statement wrote in the end that Sage will be forever missed because he was a talented and wonderful person.
George Braunstein, Sage’s lawyer was shocked to hear about the young actor’s death. He declared that nobody expected this tragic ending considering that Sage was very happy and he was involved in all kinds of projects, lately. The attorney revealed the fact that Sly’s son was planning to get married and had great goals in mind for his future. Everybody who knew Sage loved him because he was an “extremely wonderful, loving guy”, so his death is a tragedy, Braunstein concluded.
Sage played with his father in “Rocky 5” and also had an appearance in Stallone’s 1996 movie “Daylight”. After these two parts he decided he wanted to focus on directing instead of acting. Sage is Sylvester Stallone’s son with first wife, Sasha Czack. The two had another son in addition to Sage, that is, the 33-year-old Seargeoh.
