Still No Flawless Solution To Jailbreak iOS 6 On iPhone 5

Jailbreaking iPhone devices hasn’t been much of a brainer for developers, until iOS 6 came in. Although the iPhone Dev-Team had a jailbreak iOS 6 solution done not even a day after the system’s release, it’s still not a flawless solution to enjoy a brand new kind of iPhone 5.

Apple has never been happy with developers breaking into their iOS and since it had no other way to go about it, it seems to have put a lot of work into iOS 6 to make it harder for jailbreakers. The iOS 5 beta release of last year wasn’t much of a challenge for developers. In only a few hours they found exploits to break into iOS and jailbreak the device. But when it comes to iOS 6 it looks like it’s going to take a while.

At the moment there is only one solution to jailbreak iOS 6, but it isn’t exactly flawless for iPhone 5. And when it comes to your precious iPhone, flawless jailbreaking is what you should always want. The iPhone Dev-Team has released a version of its iOS jailbreaking software not even a day after Apple introduced it.

Redmond Pie says that the iOS 6 Redsn0w jailbreaking software isn’t going to work on the latest Apple products. The Redsn0w iOS 6 jailbreaking software works only on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and latest iPod Touch.

Hackers say that jailbreaking iOS 6 on iPhone 5 is going to take a while. Apparently, Apple took note of the exploits found during the last Hack In The Box conference. So, for the moment, if you’re eager to jailbreak your iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S, you’re just going to have to wait since the status for the software is still unknown.

Until jailbreaking iPhone 5 becomes a reality, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 users can start enjoying the benefits of every kind of content and apps. To jailbreak iOS 6 on the devices mentioned above, you can use the Redmond Pie guide that explains how to install the new software version and run Redsn0w.

  1. They need to hurry up and find exploits. When i bought my iphone 4s i had no idea that updating my ios would fuck me over like it did, if there isnt any possible way to downgrade without shsh blobs. Someone should create a way to get them.

  2. Dear IJaKsIPhones, perhaps contributing a few thousand bucks to the DevTeam helps. Else, you should shut the fcuk up and wait patiently for it like the rest of us and be grateful when it is finally released.

  3. IJaKsIPhones if you had no idea upodating your phone would **** you over than you know nothing about jailbreaks, it has been that way since the first jaibreak came out years ago. for someone so new to the scene and so obviously un-educated you have an awfully big mouth. And considering your stupidity is the reason you can’t jailbreak/downgrade I’d say you deserve to wait and should be the last one to find out when the new jailbreak does surface.

  4. I have some serious questions about jailbreaking my iphone 5. Can anyone tell me, if I successfully jailbreak it:

    1) Are there increased security risks?
    2) Does Facetime over 3G still work?
    3) Can you still sync everything through iTunes
    4) Can you still update applications OTA?
    5) Can you still update your iOS operating system
    6) Will it still connect to LTE just fine?
    7) Will lock screen notifications still work?
    8) Does it harm the battery life?
    9) Do you have to reboot your phone while tethered to your computer, in order for Cydia to restart? (I heard this was true)
    10) Is there a version of the Swype keyboard that works for it?
    11) Is there a way to go back if you don’t like it?
    12) Is there a way to make folders where you can put more than 16 apps per folder?
    13) Will iMessage still work?
    14) Will all songs, videos, text messages, photos, contacts, calendars, etc., be unharmed?

Thanks for any information anyone can provide! I greatly appreciate it!

  5. @Ryan
To answer your questions – with what ive seen in past versions of JB’S

    1)Not really
5)No you will lose the jailbreak
7)yes – you can also add tweaks and widgets etc.
8)some say yes – just depends what you install
    9)only on a tethered or semi-tethered jailbreak
    10)Not sure
14)yes – if there are no bugs.

    Please research next time.
    Google is your friend.
