The first edition of You Tube’s Your Film Festival was won by Spanish filmmaker David Victori. He received $500,000 for his short production “The Guilt” which was voted as the best movie by director Ridley Scott and actor Michael Fassbender during this year’s edition of the Venice Film Festival, the Associated Press reports.

David Victori’s name may soon be on everyone’s lips as his You Tube movie, “The Guilt”, received all the votes during the first edition of Your Film Festival organized by You Tube. The short movie is about a man who becomes obsessed with revenge after his wife gets murdered. Both director Ridley Scott and actor Michael Fassbender were deeply impressed by the movie and decided to award it with $500,000.

David Victori will use the money he received for his new project which will be produced with Scott and Fassbender’s help. The latter told the press that “The Guilt” was a very interesting and mature movie, so he can’t wait to work with Victori for his next project. Scott will provide the young director with all pieces of advice he needs for a good career start.

The movies of the 10 finalists were all screened during the Venice Film Festival. It was, however, Victori’s story that kept everyone breathless with anticipation. The young director won’t waste any more minute. He has already come up with a plan for his future project and he presented them to his new partners, Scott and Fassbender.

The press didn’t receive many details about David’s new movie. He only stated that it will be a complex project which requires a lot of work. As a consequence, the Your Film Festival winner is very anxious to start filming for the new motion picture.
