People Magazine announced on Thursday that Sheree Whitfield has decided to leave the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” series. Whitfield will concentrate her attention on other types of shows because the reality TV series no longer reflects her personality and her lifestyle.
Sheree Whitfield is done with arguing and fighting in front of the cameras. The reality TV star has been a part of the show for four seasons. Despite this, Whitfield is determined to end her collaboration with the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” because she doesn’t like the direction that the showing is going in.
The 42-year-old star justified her decision by saying that there is increasingly more violence in the series and she can no longer cope with the producers’ requests. She further added that she is tired of fighting and acting like a mean woman. Although she doesn’t know what the future holds for her, Whitfield stated that she would like to take part in a project that empowers women instead of creating a negative image for them. In addition, the star wants to teach women to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to treat themselves with respect.
Her departure should not be equaled to a separation from the rest of the women on the show. Sheree reassured everyone that she is getting along very well with most of her co-stars and she even wishes them good luck for the following seasons of the series. As much as we’d like to believe her, we can’t help remember some of the violent disputes that Whitfield has had with her cast mates, NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak. In fact, Whitfield has been one of the strongest combatants on the show, getting in various physical fights with the rest of the female stars.
Her recent revelation might have been caused by the events that took place in the fourth season. Whitfield has been struggling to obtain child support, so she started a legal dispute with her ex-husband, former NFL player Bob Whitfield.
The news of her departure was confirmed by Bravo on Wednesday afternoon. They stated that they enjoyed working with Whitfield all this time and that they wish her all the best for her future projects.
