Sharon Stone is without a doubt one of the most famous actresses in the world. The star decided now to open up about a very serious health issue she had previously dealt with. Sharon revealed that she suffered a brain hemorrhage.
Of course, the whole experience was terrifying for the Basic Instinct actress, who revealed that her doctors actually gave her only 5% chance of survival. Sharon was in the situation of having to learn once again how to do basic things, such as speaking, walking, writing or reading, which were affected by the condition. The famous actress opened up about her health issue during a recent interview with CBS News.
The star claimed that it all happened back in 2001. Sharon said that because of the brain hemorrhage her “whole life was wiped out.” The star claimed that she was alone during this experience. “I’m sure I seemed peculiar coming through this all these years, and I didn’t want to tell everybody what was happening because, you know, this is not a forgiving environment. I’m so grateful to have this. The chance of my having it was so slim,” she said.
The Hollywood star went on to reveal that the whole experience made her feel “that I did die.” She claimed that she started to see some of her friends who have died. “This kind of giant vortex of light was upon me and — poof! I sort of took off into this glorious, white light,” she claimed. “I started to see and be met by some of my friends.. People [who had died] who were very, very dear to me.”
During the interview, Sharon Stone also addressed the hot topic in Hollywood at the moment. The star was asked if during her career she experienced sexual harassment and she claimed that she has “seen it all.”
“I’ve been in this business for 40 years. Can you imagine the business I stepped into 40 years ago?” the star said. “Looking like I look, from nowhere Pennsylvania? I didn’t come here with any protection. I’ve seen it all,” Sharon concluded.
