By the time they turn 30, a bunch of celebrities won’t have enough space left to mark that event with a tattoo. Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus love this fad and now Selena Gomez has a new tattoo, on her neck.
Sure, these aren’t the 90s anymore and people are more open and tolerant about tattoos nowadays. Plus, if you have the money, you can always get them removed, but that’s another story. Celebrities like Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are covered in ink and might be sending your teenager kid the wrong message. Selena Gomez, also an idol for girls nationwide, just got a new tattoo.
The 20-year-old singer is still new to the world of tattooing. She was a “virgin” until earlier this year, when in February the guys at Hollywood’s Under the Gun tattoo shop inked her for the first time. It was a small music note on her right wrist for Selena Gomez, but here we are not even one year later and she’s getting another one.
Selena Gomez’s neck tattoo is dedicated to her family. Obviously that’s a way better reason to get permanent ink on your body than say, just feeling like getting inked today. Selena Gomez decided to get a neck tattoo with roman numerals that spell number 76. Apparently Selena Gomez’s roman numerals neck tattoo is a tribute to a member of her family, the one she cares most about.
“The tattoo was a tribute to a family member who she said means a lot to her” revealed New York tattoo artist Bang Bang about Selena Gomez’s neck ink art. “Selena was nervous it might have been painful, so she held her best friend’s hand the whole time. But she did a great job” Bang Bang added.
Yesterday, just after she got the new neck tattoo, Selena Gomez tweeted: “You will never know how much you all mean to me”. We’re guessing she was referring to her whole family.
While celebrities are enjoying their lives, in your home there are probably at least 2 teenagers that are looking up to a bunch of stars. Selena Gomez has 12,7333,542 followers on Twitter at the moment, and while not all of them are fans, or teenage girls looking for a “gift” to make their parents, it’s a good enough chance some of them will get permanent ink because their idol did it too.
That’s stupid. Kids immitate what they are raised around and the influence the family puts on them majority of the time.
The tattoo fad is just that, a fad. It is not because a celebrity does it. Celebrities like tattoos too. Actually up until times recent if you were a celebrity and had tattoos it was looked more down on or altered their image for movies ECT. But seeing as society in general has accepted ot for numerous of years, the celebrity world has just finally started to come around w this. A tattoo does not make someone a bad role model. I have 2 children myself, I completely disagree w this closed minded opinion. I am an 80s baby and my generation has embraced ink since i can remember. This is not a new thing or celebrity caused.
