Samsung announced on early Tuesday that two of its new Galaxy devices, Mega 6.3 and Mega 5.8 have been launched in India. The two smartphones are packed with some of the most advanced features that Samsung has provided on its S4 model, PC Mag informs.
Two new more Galaxy models are available in India starting today. The IT giant has informed customers that the Mega 6.3 and 5.8 smartphones have been launched in India offering customers on the local market the same features and options that S4 boasts. The Soth Korean company has further stated that the Mega 6.3 device has a 6.3-inch display, an 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.9 megapixel front camera. The device is running on Google’s latest Android version, the 4.2 Jelly Bean and it is compatible with NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G networks. The phone has an 8GB Internal memory, but it can be expanded to 64GB using the micro SD slot.
The Mega 5.8 is similar to the 6.3 model, except the former is a DUAL-SIM smartphone and it has a 5.8-inch display. The smaller Galaxy smartphone has a weaker processor of 1.4 Ghz dual-core processor, whereas Mega 6.3 has a 1.7 Ghz dual-core processor. The latter is also more advanced than the smaller Mega smartphone in point of embedded features and options.
Based on Samsung’s declaration, the 6.3-inch version also includes Sound and Shot, Dual-Photos, Story Album, etc. The smartphone can be easily turned into a television remote control due to the “Samsung WatchOn” option. “Samsung Link” and “Group Play”, on the other hand, are the two options that enable Galaxy Mega owners to stream photos, videos and music on other devices and to share content, respectively.
Samsung is now riding the waves of success after surprising customers with the advanced technology provided on the Galaxy S4 model. The company has already sold more than 10 million units even though the smartphone was launched a month ago, on April 27.
