Robert Pattinson turned to his best friend, “Water For Elephants” co-star, Reese Witherspoon, to get help after the separation. The actor was very affected by Kristen Stewart’s cheating, so he is now staying at Witherspoon’s ranch in Ojai, California, says Us Weekly.

Robert Pattinson was devastated when he found out that his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart has cheated him with the “Snow White and The Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. The actor could no longer stay in the same house the two shared since the beginning of their relationship, so he expressed his wish to retire in a relaxing and quiet place. His former costar in “Water for Elephants”, Reese Witherspoon called him and suggested him to stay at her ranch in Ojai, California.

The actress recently described the ranch for a home décor magazine saying that it is very peaceful and quiet. Reese further added that she usually goes there when she wants to slow down the time and enjoy a relaxing holiday. The fact that there is no connection with the world because the Internet doesn’t work and she can’t use the phone gives Witherspoon more time for herself. As a result, she recommended her crib to Pattinson, so he could get away from the media’s attention for a couple of days.

Robert refused to talk to his ex-girlfriend since the day he found out about her affair. Kristen, however, tried to contact him on repeated occasions. Afterwards, she issued a public apology in a last attempt to save their relationship. Unfortunately, Pattinson was even more disturbed by her public apology because he was the last to find out about it.

Reese Witherspoon explained reporters that the “Twilight” saga actor is a very kind man and she wanted to help him. In addition, she understands the pressure that media can put on a person because she went through a similar situation when she divorced Ryan Phillippe. Robert won’t be staying too long in her house, however; he will return to his home as soon as Kristen moves out.
