Kim Kardashian has been facing a lot of criticism and often enough she was slammed for making “inappropriate” comments. In a recent interview with V magazine Kim Kardashian said rap music and reality TV are the same. That’s the kind of statement that can easily draw criticism.
Most rap fans are surely offended by Kim Kardashian’s latest word of wisdom. Her statement for V magazine only adds to the intense adversity many people have when it comes to the star of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”. Jonah Hill, Daniel Craig and Jon Hamm are just a few of the celebrities that had a thing or two to say about Kim Kardashian, but that only managed to drive her popularity status to a whole new level.
Kim Kardashian sat down with V magazine and talked about her huge level of popularity. She even addressed the chance of her getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From her point of view it’s just a matter of time before reality TV will get just as popular and appreciated as rap music.
“I think (reality TV) is still a new form of entertainment that was kind of an unexpected thing. It reminds me of rap music” said Kanye West’s girlfriend. “When rap music first came out, people were like, ‘We don’t understand this, what is this, it’s just a fad” Kim Kardashian told V magazine. “But rap music is definitely here to stay and I think reality shows have proven they are as well. But when something is newer, people don’t really understand it” the reality show star added.
Of her getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kim Kardashian said she’d “love to break that mold” and would definitely be a “huge achievement and a goal that anyone would want”. Still, seeing as she got her fame for a sex tape released in 2007, Kim Kardashian is going to have to get a real acting job or start singing. Maybe Kanye West could help her with that?!
Hollyscoop talked to a rep for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce about Kim Kardashian’s chances of getting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “She has not been nominated. She is a reality star. We don’t do reality stars. She needs to get a real acting job then come to us” said the rep.
