The superstar singer and rapper is looking forward to become a mother. Queen Latifah has quite an impressive acting career and a lot of experiences to brag about and she wants a child to share them with. In an interview with Barbara Walters on “The View” Queen Latihas said she wants to adopt.
It’s a fairly known fact that Queen Latifah wants to be a mom. And she’s been talking about adoption since she was barely legal. However, as the actress told Walters this Wednesday she’s is finally preparing to bring a child home. “I’m actually kind of working on that” confessed Queen Latifah during Wednesday’s “The View”.
The Grammy Award winner confessed to Barbara Walters it was a movie that convinced her adopting is the right way to go. “I think I saw one of those specials…you know those movies of the week. And it was like – and I just always wanted to bring a child home” Queen Latifah said.
And the 42-year-old actress hinted the formal process has already begun. ABC’s host, Barbara Walters asked the rapper-actress-singer if she’s really all that serious about adopting a child. “I’m totally serious” answered Queen Latifah. In fact she even made a joke about it: “if you got a kid that you don’t…Just give me a year – let me set up camp and send me the kid. But no, no totally”.
Earlier this year, Queen Latifah broke silence on regards to her private life. She was forced to come out and talk about rumors about her sexuality after taking part in a gay pride parade in California. The artist had to dismiss rumors about her coming out of the closet. She then said: “That definitely wasn’t the case. I’ve never dealt with the question of my personal life in public. It’s just not gonna happen”.
Later this year, Queen Latifah’s “Steel Magnolies” is going to premiere. She costars Phylicia Rashad, Alfred Woodard and Condola Rashad in the 1989 flick. Next year, Queen Latifah will be back on the big screens in the thriller “House of Bodies”.
