Pink Floyd will release a new album. Fans are surely extremely happy to find out that the famous British rockers are going to release their first album in 20 years. The news was first revealed by Polly Samson, who decided to share the happy announcement on Twitter. 

Author Polly Samson is married to David Gilmour, the guitarist of the band. Naturally, the band has also confirmed the release of this new album. The official statement revealed that fans will be able to listen to the newest Pink Floyd tracks in October. 

“Pink Floyd can confirm that they are releasing a new album, The Endless River, in October 2014,” the statement said. “It is an album of mainly ambient and instrumental music based on the 1993/4 Division Bell sessions which feature David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright,” it added. Pink Floyd also revealed in their statement that this new album was produced by David Gilmore, Phil Manzaner and Andy Jackson. “Work is still in progress but more details to come at the end of the summer,” the statement added.

So, there are only a few months left until fans will be able to listen to the new tracks released by Pink Floyd. The Endless River will be the first album of the legendary band in years, so the news of its release came as a shock for everyone. Durga McBroom also confirmed the news in a Facebook post. “Yes. There is a new Pink Floyd album coming out. And I’m on it. And there was much rejoicing” the post said. 

Pink Floyd is one of the most famous and most successful bands ever. They sold more than 250 million copies of their famous albums, including here Dark Side of The Moon, as well as Wish You Were Here. The last performance of the band dates back to 2005, when they played at a concert at the Live 8 charity show in London. Until now, there is no confirmation on whether the band will be on tour to promote the new album or not.
