The cause of death of Peaches Geldof has been confirmed. It seems that the star has died because of heroin overdose. Apparently, this is the same reason why her mother, Paula Yates, passed away.
The daughter of Bod Geldof, Peaches, lost her mom back in 2000, when she was about 10 years old. Peaches was found dead on April 7, but initially there was no word on the cause of her death. The star who was 25 years old at the time of her death was submitted to an autopsy. The toxicological tests revealed that the heroin overdose was the reason why Peaches died.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham was the one to confirm this fact during a hearing that took place on Thursday. It has been revealed that the body of the former celebrity television show host was found by the cops at her countryside home, where Peaches was actually looking after her son, who is only 11 months old.
At the time of her death, Thomas Cohen, Peaches’ husband, was taking care of the couple’s other son, who is 23-months old. The man announced the cops that something might be wrong after repeatedly trying to connect with his wife on the phone, with no success. At the time of her death, the two spent the night apart.
Peaches Geldof became well known for her many columns in numerous British magazines and newspapers. One of the most shocking things about her death was the fact that Peaches decided to post of photo of her mom the night before her passing away. This led to the hypothesis that Peaches committed suicide.
Still, in the most recent columns that Peaches wrote, she revealed that she was happier than ever. She was the mother of two young children, who she loves deeply. “I had the perfect life — two beautiful babies who loved me more than anything. It was, and is, bliss,” the star wrote. She also added that being a mom is the best feeling in the world. The star was married to musician Thomas Cohen.
“My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons,” a statement from Thomas Cohen said following the death of his wife. “I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever.”
