Nothing could be simpler than Nokia 215

One thing is sure, this phone was made for making calls. Nokia 215 is a precious little phone that costs 30 dollars and can described as having sturdy construction, achieving good call quality at a low price. Unfortunately, this device isn’t a global one, because it works only on 900 and 1,800 MHz band, frequencies that can be found in just in some parts of Africa, Asia, Europe and Middle East. Probably the phone can get signal in some countries in Latina America, but not a chance in North America. It will work in Australia and in the UK, but knowing the fact that it doesn’t have 3G, its success might be limited.

Nokia 215 is the perfect phone that can be given to kids as a first device, to elderly people or just keep as a second phone. One thing is sure, there is enough room in the market for a device that has the most basic features. Nokia 215 comes with a simple design and it is sturdily build. The phone measures 4.6 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 0.55 inch thick. It weighs only 2.8 ounces, making it easy to carry. It is made by a sturdy polycarbonate plastic, with round edges and it isn’t slippery. This means that it won’t be a problem to be used with one hand, without the risk of dropping it.

The phone comes with a 2.4-inch screen with a 320×240-pixel resolution and supports 262,000 colors. It is much better than black and white. The buttons that are used for navigation or typing a number or text are rubbery and responsive. On the back on the phone is located a camera, with the most basic resolution. There is no flash among the camera, but it features a flashlight on the top of the phone, next to the Micro-USB charging port and 3.5mm headset jack.

There are a bunch of apps that can be accessed by users, such as alarm clock or music player. Owners can also enjoy using the Internet, the Opera browser is preinstalled, although it loads pages slowly over 2G. There is also a messaging app and the most famous FM radio. For fun and entertainment, there are a couple of games that can be downloaded through the app store. The 8GB internal storage is more than enough for a basic phone. Talking about battery life, Nokia 215 offers up to 20 hours of talk time and over 50 hours of music playback. This means that with a 1,100mAh removable battery, people can enjoy up to 29 days of standby time on a single charge.
