More facts to know about the new Asus ZenFone Selfie

Asus has released its new phone, called ZenFone Selfie. As the name says, this new device takes aim at selfie lovers, featuring a 13-megapixel front-facing shooter and dual-LED flash. However, probably this is its main attraction, because the sluggish performance makes this device a hard one to recommend.

The new Asus ZenFone Selfie is probably perfect for those who are looking for a device to make great selfies and to use as an all-day phone, for browsing the Web, send emails or check Facebook or Twitter. Despite the front camera’s wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture, this phone is not too impressive.

Probably, there is no other phone on the market that takes such high-resolution selfies, but this will most likely change, as Oppo is getting close, featuring a 13-megapixel camera. The new Asus ZenFone Selfie is available at the price of 285 dollars, but at the moment it is available only in Thailand, Singapore and Asia. The company hasn’t announced yet its intentions on releasing the device on the western markets, but that might change soon.

The new phone is approximately identical in size with the previous ZenFone 2, but it is slightly thinner and wider. This phone measure 6.16×3.04x.043 inches and weighs 6 ounces. Moreover, it has a 5.5-inch display with 1,920×1,080-pixel IPS. Probably, many users will have to get used to the lager 13-megapixel front-facing camera located just right about the display.

At first, it looks odd, due to the large size of the lens and it is flanked by a dual-LED flash and the audio speaker. Moreover, homing such a big camera in the front, Asus has removed their logo from the phone’s front, which is a surprising move, knowing that all Android manufacturers are plastering their logos across the faces of their phones. However, the only way to know that this is an Asus phone is for users to have to look at the back. Asus ZenFone Selfie homes a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, accompanied by 3GB of Ram and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. To be added that its memory can be expanded up to 64GB and it has a 3,000mAh removable battery.
