Based on a recent report published on Reuters, Mike Tyson will tour America with his one-man show called “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth”. The former boxer will host shows in numerous cities including Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit and Washington D.C.
The former professional boxer, Mike Tyson has flirted with the movie industry in the past years featuring in flicks like “The Hangover” and “Hangover Part II”. The unbeatable champion developed a taste for acting after his brief Hollywood experience, so he prepared a new one-man show to mark his career change. “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” is the show that the ex-con has prepared in order to conquer the hearts of his North American fans.
Tyson’s reps announced on Thursday that the boxer-turned-actor will visit the major cities in America to promote his two-hour show in the following months. Fans will be able to buy tickets and see their favorite boxer act on stage in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and many other locations.
This is not the first time that Mike Tyson has presented his show; in fact, the debut took place in Las Vegas this summer and had a limited run on Broadway. The tour is set to kick off with a first performance in Indianapolis, in February and will last for three months. Spike Lee was the director of the show, whereas the text was written by Tyson’s wife, Kiki.
“Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth” tells the story of the boxer’s childhood and the efforts he made to rise from Brooklyn and become the fearsome athlete we know today. The autobiographical monologue also deals with less amusing stories regarding Iron Mike’s career downfall, his conviction, his drug addiction as well as his much-discussed rivalry with Evander Holyfield whose ear he bit during a competition. Tyson also talks about the people who have marked his life in a positive or a negative way, such as, first wife Robin Givens, promoter Don King and Brad Pitt.
