Us Weekly informs us that Mary-Kate Olsen made another change in her life. After announcing her relationship with French president’s brother Olivier Sarkozy, the fashion designer surprised everyone when she showed up with brunette tresses at the CFDA Awards in NYC on Monday.
Interacting with twin brothers can be a mind-blowing experience. Literally. If they don’t drive you insane by making you guess who is who with their identical outfits and hairstyles, they will most likely drive you crazy trying to prove that they are unique. Questions like ‘I’m prettier than her, aren’t I?” or “She’s fatter than me, isn’t she?” will constantly pass by your ears while in their company.
Since twins work in mysterious ways, the Olsen sisters previously announced that they plan to distinguish one from another during their public appearances. This is probably why Mary-Kate Olsen decided to step out of her sister’s shadow and turn brunette for this year’s CFDA Awards. The hairstyle, however, seems to be perfect for the fashion designer as many stylists were impressed by her look.
The former actress opted for a simple black gown and accessorized it with Sidney Garber jewelry and Louis Vuitton shoes. Her sister, Ashley, opted for a purple dress. Both models were designed by the fashion brand of the two sisters. As a matter of fact, Ashley and Mary-Kate received the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award proving that they are really talented when it comes to fashion. Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler were the other designers who competed against the Olsen sisters, but the latter were more appreciated this time.
This is not the only change that has taken place in Mary-Kate’s life. She recently confirmed that she is dating French president’s brother, Olivier Sarkozy who is 17 years older than her. Despite the age difference, the two get along very well. In fact, the fashion designer confessed that she likes mature men and not boys her age because she has more things in common with the former.
