Movie star Martin Lawrence announced on Friday that he will rent his Beverly Hills mansion for the ridiculous amount of $200,000 a month. The sprawling crib used to be the home where the actor lived with his former wife for 17 years, say Us Weekly.
Months after Martin Lawrence announced his separation from his partner of 17 years, the actor decided to improve his financial situation by putting his house up for rent. Nothing seems strange so far as many people resort to this solution in order to make a few bucks. However, the monthly rent that the movie star is requesting has left everyone open mouthed.
According to the recent statement released by his reps, Martin Lawrence plans to get $200,000 per month from his tenant. He justifies his request by stating that the house is sprawling over 13,900 square feet and it is endowed with bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms and a movie theater including a concession stand. In the backyard, the extravagant actor built a giant pool, as well as a spa, a cabana and a tennis court, so the tenant will benefit of the best facilities.
You probably need a car to get from one side of the property to the other as the garden sits on 2.2 acres of land. Having so much space available has enabled Lawrence to build an impressive marble foyer provided with stained glass skylights produced by Salvatore Polizzi. The house was constantly taken care of by his staff whose quarters were placed in the basement. Despite these incredible features, no possible tenants have expressed their wish to rent the house.
At the beginning of May, Martin Lawrence and his wife announced that they have jointly decided to part ways after a relationship of 17 years. Now that Shamicka and her two daughters, Amara and Iyana have moved out of the house, there is no point for the actor to stay in the huge residence.
