Maggie Gyllenhaal became a mom for the second time. According to the actress’s publicist, Maggie Gyllenhaal welcomed a new baby daughter, thus joining the ranks of celebrity moms. Gyllenhaal’s publicist announced this Monday through an email that the couple welcomes to the world baby girl Gloria Ray. She was born on April 19th in New York. Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal have another daughter, Ramona, who was born in 2006.
Most like many other celebrity moms, Maggie Gyllenhaal hid the news from the media as much as possible. However, she did come forward back in November 2011, when she was already in her second trimester.
A few months later, in March 2012, the stunning actress had an interview with USA Today about how it’s like to be pregnant and famous. She confessed: “I find it difficult to pretend you’re not pregnant, which I had to do. I didn’t let anyone know until three and a half months this time”. The truth is that during the time, Maggie Gyllenhaal must have had a hard time trying to hide the pregnancy and stay public at the same time.
During the same interview with USA Today she added that although she wasn’t feeling very well she attend film festivals. “I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses” said Maggie of her adventurous first two pregnancy trimesters.
In February, husband Peter Sarsgaard was having troubles of his own. He told reporters that he was worried Ramona might not get along with her sibling. “I’ve seen kids with siblings – I don’t have any siblings, so I don’t know – but they generally go for about five minutes, ‘Oh, cool! Anyway, what are we going to do now? Can we return it?”
Both Maggie and Peter have exciting upcoming projects. Maggie Gyllenhaal is going to play with Hugh Dancy in “Hysteria”, while Peter Sarsgaard will star with James Franco and Amanda Seyfried in “Lovelace”.
