Actress and model Liz Hurley announced she got engaged to her boyfriend of 10 months, cricketer Shane Warne, Us Magazine reports. The proposal came on Friday and the sparkler has some blue reflections.

Elizabeth Hurley, 46, is going to be a wife very soon. Her boyfriend, whom she has dated for about 10 months, has made her a great surprise on Friday, while dining at the Road Hole Restaurant, in Scotland. The news was first revealed by a source who did not want to be named. “They are engaged!” The restaurant staff was contacted in order to confirm the news, but the source contacted was not willing to talk on the matter.

Later, on Saturday, Hurley herself admitted to the news and thanked all her twitter followers for the congratulations. “Thanks for all your congratulations”, she said a posted a photo of her and her fiancée. “Here’s a pic of us about to go to Dunhill dinner in St Andrews,” she added.  Shane Warne, 42,  thanked his own followers for all the good wishes. “Thanks again for all your lovely messages. Means a lot to us x”, the couple tweeted after another round of congrats.

On Sunday, the press office that represents the tournament Warne was competing in, Alfred Dunhill Links Championship”, released the official statement regarding the engagement. “Shane Warne has confirmed his engagement to actress Elizabeth Hurley after proposing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship”.  Then the statement added that the actress watched two games of her fiancée’s that day.

The engagement ring that Hurley received is has a huge sapphire and diamonds.

Both Liz and Shane have been married before, once. Hurley was married to Arun Nayar for four years. Their marriage ended in June. Warne got divorced from his wife of 10 years back in 2006.
