“Liz & Dick” Reviews Are In

The Elizabeth Taylor biopic has been seen as Lindsay Lohan’s chance to revamp her acting career. But the “Liz & Dick” reviews are in and they’re not exactly positive. The movie is “silly” and “an instant classic of unintentional hilarity” while Lindsay Lohan “lacks luster”.

It’s not that we didn’t see this coming. It was a surprising choice of cast, giving Lindsay Lohan the part of the grand Elizabeth Taylor and many argued against it. For the “Mean Girls” actress, the part of Liz Taylor in the biopic was a chance to revamp her acting career. But from what the reviews for “Liz & Dick” are reading, Lindsay Lohan depiction of two-time best actress Oscar winner Liz Taylor was “hilariously bad”.

“Liz & Dick” is set to premiere this November 25 on Lifetime Television but don’t expect it to be better than her previous parts. Newsday’s review for Lindsay Lohan’s part in the biopic was most likely one of the most polite, reading that the actress is “no Taylor, (not that anyone is or ever could be”.

“But poor Lindsay doesn’t stand a chance. As seen here, her skills are rudimentary – made rustier by a long absence and a lot of extra-curricular activities” Newsday writes about Lindsay Lohan in “Liz & Dick”. “She delivers lines dutifully, competently, and at times woodenly, but she also looks like someone who has to think about what she has to say before she says it” the reviews also reads.

And that’s nothing compared to The Hollywood Reporter’s take on “Liz & Dick” and Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor. From what their critic is saying, “Liz & Dick” is more of a movie you’d watch if you need to laugh at something. “Lohan is woeful as Taylor from start to finish. But, whatever you do, don’t miss Liz & Dick. It’s an instant classic of unintentional hilarity” but on the overall the biopic was “half train wreck, half skit”.

Basically, you’re going to have a hard time keeping a straight face while watching Lindsay Lohan playing Elizabeth Taylor. It is just “inadvertently hysterical” and “impossible not to laugh”.

  1. i think she did good considering what type of script was written for her to portray. i believe a lot of hollywood want to see this young lady fail because all i’ve heard is about her wrong doings which should have nothing at all to do with this poorly written script.
