Lin helps Knicks defeat the Raptors

It was Lin who made sensation on Tuesday as he helped the New York Knicks defeat the Raptors, says the Associated Press. The NBA newcomer made a tiebreaking 3-pointer right before the final whistles of the game. Thanks to his six-points finishing flurry, New York beat the Raptors with 90-87 points scoring its sixth win in a row.

Jeremy Lin managed to score 27 points and added a career-high 11 assists during the Tuesday game after being named the Eastern Conference player of the week. Knicks’ coach, Mike D’Antoni was very pleased with his team’s results. He declared after the game that the victory was necessary to “calm the Linsanity down”.

Jared Jeffries was impressed with his colleague’s results, as well. He noticed that Lin’s game gets better and better with every new match. The New York team is grateful to the American-Taiwanese player for the efforts he makes to help them win every new competition.

Even though he has won everyone’s appreciation, Lin tries to redirect the press’ attention towards his colleagues. He released a recent interview saying that the victory was the result of the conjoined efforts that the Knicks players have made. Lin further added that they had their rough periods when the team kept losing games, but the past six wins helped them solve all their problems.

The NBA player admitted that none of his successes would have been possible if the team hadn’t given him the possibility to score in the past minutes of the game. For that, he is thankful to his coach and his colleagues for letting him have the ball at the end of all the competitions.

D’Antoni did not call timeout before Lin’s winning shot because he did not want to give the Raptors the possibility to strengthen their defense. As a consequence, he was very nervous when Lin let the clock run down. The basketball player waited until there were only five tenth of a second left and then made his winning shot; thus, drawing even his opponents’ admiration.
