Being famous makes having an affair really, really hard and LeAnn Rimes and Kristen Stewart now know it. The affair between LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian ended two marriages and since then she has been looked at as a home wrecker. On Sunday, LeAnn Rimes cried over the affair during an interview with E!’s Giuliana Rancic.
In 2009, while filming for “Northern Lights” LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian started seeing each other. Back then, LeAnn Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet and Eddie Cibrian with Brandi Glanville. Over the past few weeks, Cibrian’s ex-wife has been taking hits at LeAnn Rimes over the affair and her failed marriage. During the interview, LeAnn Rimes broke down in tears saying it is hard being called a home wrecker.
“I had no idea what life was throwing me and I had no idea how to handle it” Rimes told Rancic about meeting Eddie Cibrian. “But all I knew was I could not … we couldn’t stop connecting in some way. And it was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through in my life” she confessed.
But one year after Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes got married, there’s still a lot of name-calling and pointing fingers going around. In August, LeAnn Rimes checked herself into a facility seeking treatment for anxiety and stress. In a statement for People, LeAnn Rimes said she has to “emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be”.
“I’m like, can someone come up with anything like more, I don’t know, original” she told Giuliana Rancic all tearful. “Through all the hard stuff, there comes so much beauty on the other side if you just let it happen” she says adding she does not regret the affair but wished everything could have been handled “differently”.
Over the past few weeks, things got worse as Brandi Glanville continued her feud. Last week she blamed it all on LeAnn Rimes after her 9-year-old son ate laxatives belonging to the actress and got sick. LeAnn Rimes reacted through her publicist saying the claims are “threatening” and “mean-spirited”.
