Kristen Stewart Says Girls Like Cool Guys

It looks like things are back to normal for Kristen Stewart as “On the Road” promotional responsibilities are now the priority. MTV News talked with Kristen Stewart and asked her about her co-star Garrett Hedlund and whether or not girls like cool guys like him.

It’s been a long time since “On the Road”’s actual premiere. And as long as it took to see it become reality, it definitely looks like it was worthwhile. Dean Moriarty played by Garrett Hedlund is a great representation of the classic, while Kristen Stewart acting Marylou takes on a topless scene.

Anyone who read Jack Kerouac’s pseudo-autobiography is bound to have high expectations for “On the Road”. Particularly when it comes to Dean Moriarty, charismatic, charming and confident man. The kind of guy that sweeps most girls off their feet. Kristen Stewart believes Garrett Hedlund played his part perfectly.

“Honestly, the man that Dean Moriarty represents was so…we got to talk to a lot of people who knew him and read everything about him and even his wife Caroline said that she’s literally never encountered anyone like that in her life” said Kristen Stewart of the most beloved character in Jack Kerouac’s book.

“He really had something that was magic” explained the actress about Dean Moriarty. “Everyone that talked about him and everyone who’s written anything about him and everyone has written their own book or everyone’s written a memoir, I think that he was one in a million” the “Twilight” star added.

Kristen Stewart also admitted that Dean Moriarty is the kind of guy that girls like. “But generally speaking, yeah, sure, girls like a guy who is cool…cool guys are cool” she confirmed.

During the same interview, the actress also opened up about her topless scene in “On the Road”. “I should have definitely been older than 17 while playing this part, absolutely” she said. It “would have been done very differently if I was younger. I wouldn’t have played the part, obviously” Kristen Stewart confessed of her acting part as Marylou in “On the Road”.

“Once we got on set, it was so about just breathing and letting it happen. He put so much trust in us” Kristen Stewart said of the movie’s director Walter Salles. “So it was like, ‘OK, so I have to take my clothes off? It’s not a big deal” she concluded.
