Kit Harington Apologies for having to lie about Jon Snow’s Fate

Famous Games of Thrones actor, who plays the role of Jon Snow, Kit Harington, decided to apologize to all the fans for lying to them about the fate of their favorite HBO series character. “I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone,” the actor claimed. “I’m glad that people were upset that he died,” he went on to say.

Kit also added that he actually feared that people would not care about the death of Jon Snow. “I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing, or the show is doing, is right,” the actor explained.

Without a doubt, Kit did a great job in keeping the secret over Jon Snow’s fate. Furthermore, it has been revealed that not only that fans were misled about what was going to happen to Jon Snow, but we can say the same thing about the other actors of the popular series.

So, Kit confessed that he also had to convince his fellow cast mates that Jon Snow was dead. So, Kit lied to everyone for about one year to be able to help the producers of the show keep the secret on what was really going to happen to Jon Snow. Kit claimed that he was told that Jon Snow was going to survive season five, but the rest of the cast was told that he was dead.

“At first I thought I would find it fun, this will be a fun game. But I had to lie to a lot of close friends and cast members and crew. The longer it went, the more I felt like I was betraying them. So I did end up letting people in, slowly,” Kit claimed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Kit said that some of the cast refused to believe him, but there were also people convinced that his collaboration with the show ended.

“Sophie Turner, bless her, wrote me a really long letter about how much she loved working with me – and I still got it,” Kit revealed. “That made me chuckle,” he added. Kit also said that in order to keep the secret, the crew was not allowed to say Jon Snow on the set, referring to him as LC, from Lord Commander. Kit also made an interesting revelation for his fans. The star claimed that Jon Snow will be more involved in the show now, the 6th season of the series being his “massive season.”
