Reuters announces that Kiss and Motley Crue, two of the biggest rock bands of all time, will unite this summer to hold a 40-city tour across the United States. The first concert will be held on July 20, 2012 in Bristow, Virginia.
The two rock bands have enchanted fans with their music for decades. Although they have been absent from the music industry in the past years, fans were delighted to hear that the two bands have joined forces for one of the biggest rock concerts to be held this year. Kiss and Motley Crue will visit 40 cities across the major U.S. this summer, including Virginia, Dallas, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Their last performance will take place on September 23 in Hartford, Connecticut.
Kiss members did not reveal whether they will paint their faces and wear outrages costumes at the concerts. However, it is very likely that they will do so given that fans appreciate their costumes very much. Rock lovers are not the only ones who are glad to see Kiss on stage. Motley Crue bassist told the people who were present at the press conference that Kiss has always been one of his favorite bands and he is much honored to go on stage with them. In fact, Nikki Sixx admitted that he had a Kiss poster in his room when he was a child.
According to Sixx, the organizers of “The Tour” have done a great job choosing Kiss to be their partners on stage. The Motley Crue bassist told reporters that the members of the other band make a “perfect match” for them. He concluded his interview saying that he is very excited to see the shows.
Kiss members were also excited to be on tour with Motley Crue. Frontman Paul Stanley declared that the members of the two teams have a lot in common, so they will get along very well during the concerts. Moreover, fans will have a lot to win from their collaboration as they will receive double doses of rock music at each concert this summer.
