Everybody is extremely curious whether or not Kim Kardashian’s brief marriage with Kris Humphries was for real. Oprah asked the reality show star straightforwardly about her romance with the basketball player on Next Chapter. Kim Kardashian talked about marriage and divorce on Oprah’s Next Chapter.
Before the highly anticipated interview with the Kardashian family would air, Oprah Winfrey wrote on her blog she just had the longest interviewing session of her life. “I did a full on Kardashian Kram in preparation, watching major shows from every season. I genuinely wanted to know why they have become a cultural phenomenon” confessed Oprah.
Oprah didn’t hold back and asked the reality show cast all sorts of uncomfortable and direct questions. She asked what’s the secret behind their celebrity. Are they “ego centered” or are they actually “famous for being famous”. By the end of her interview, Oprah made up her mind.
“Those of you who watch the show know they hold nothing back. This interview I’d say was another level of forthrightness and honesty” wrote Oprah last Sunday. She also revealed that Scott, Lamar, Khloe and Kim were the members of the controversial family that surprised her most.
In fact, this Wednesday, Oprah wrote on her Facebook page: “Everyone who’s asked was the marriage a publicity stunt? Why did she leave after 72 days? Her answer leveled me” said Oprah Winfrey.
Kim Kardashian’s marriage with Kris Humphries is perhaps one of the most discussed topics of the past few months. Kris Humphries took the heat for his association with the reality show star as he has been booed on the basketball court several times. The two tied the knot but only 72 days later they were filing for divorce. Their wedding cost some $10 million and both had a lot to gain over the media coverage.
In a sneak peek of the Oprah interview that airs June 17, E! News reports that the family was grilled about how they felt having Kris Jenner as their manager. “First of all, we have to hire a manager”, said Kim, “So regardless, someone is going to get that. No one will fight harder for you than your own mother. She knows us. She knows all of our moods…We just get each other. We wibe. It works”.
