It’s hard keeping up with the Kardashian’s these days, as all the three sisters are either engaged, married or having babies. The latest news is tat the most famous of the three sisters, Kim, got engaged to her boyfriends, Kris Humpries.
After 6 months of dating, Kris Humpries asked Kim Kardashian to be his lawful wedded wife. The couple announced their engagement today on the cover of People magazine. Kim reveals that she did not expect for this to happen. It was a big surprise for her, too. She wrote on her blog that she was very happy. “I finally found my missing puzzle piece, I’m complete!” she said.
The New Jersey Nets player surprised his sweetheart with an uncommon proposal. “It was so romantic” Kim says. On May 18, she was coming home and when she opened the door of her Beverly Hills home bedroom she saw Kris down in one knee, with a big diamond ring in his hand. He wrote the question “Will you marry me” with rose petals. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”
Humpries wanted a clear “yes” so he prepared for the big day as any gentleman should. Of course, cash involved! He bought the diva a ring with a custom design, a 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond sparkler. It is an emerald cut and has 2 carat stones on each side. He said he just wanted the rock to be big. The ring is reportedly priced at about 2 million dollars
Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, helped him to plan a family party that evening, to celebrate their engagement. She even brought t the party two mini-horses covered in glitter, as the future son in law joke about how he would like to have mini-horses at the party. “It was hysterical.”
Kim Kardashian, 30, and future husband Kris Humpries, 26, are planning to have the wedding in December this year. Her little sister, Khloe, is married since 2009 with NBA player, Lamar Odom. Today, Khloe wrote on her blog congratulations for Kim “on finding the love of your life! Seeing you this happy makes all of us BEYOND happy and my face literally hurts from smiling.”
