Famous actress Keira Knightley recently claimed that she actually doesn’t mind going topless for a photo. The star recently went nude for Interview magazine and it seems that this experience has not been bad at all. The star talked about it with The Times of London.
“I’ve had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it’s paparazzi photographers or for film posters,” the famous actress claimed. “And that [shoot] was one of the ones where I said: ‘OK, I’m fine doing the topless shot so long as you don’t make them any bigger or retouch.’ Because it does feel important to say it really doesn’t matter what shape you are.”
Keira went on to say that she actually received a very important tip from famous fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier. “You have to relax your face, because that’s what good movie acting is, a relaxed face. It’s the same thing as having pictures taken,” the photographer told her, as Keira revealed.
Well, so what Keira wanted to share was the fact that her photo shoot was not only about beauty or fashion. It had actually been a protest against the unrealistic expectations placed on women, mostly on famous ladies.
This is not the first time when the star talks about this subject. Actually, back in 2004, the star launched a public battle with Photoshop. Back then, the Hollywood star was extremely upset because her chest was digitally enlarged for the poster of King Arthur. Of course, Keira Knightley wanted to show the world what she really thought about that.
The star posed naked for the first time for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, back in 2006. In the same pic, Tom Ford appeared fully clothed, making a statement on the different demands made on men and on women.
Keira Knightley is extremely successful when it comes to her career. The star is working at The Imitation Game. It has also been revealed that the famous actress is set to make her Broadway debut next October.
