Recently, rumors indicated that famous singer Katy Perry was both married and pregnant. However, almost immediately the beautiful singer dismissed the rumors. The story was initially published by OK! Magazine, which later went to issue an apology for the mistake.
To make sure that all her fans know that the story was fake, Katy retweeted the retraction and apology issued by the magazine and shared a message with her fans. “Remember these magazines are fiction designed for entertainment,” Katy’s message to fans said.
“In the March 2, 2015 print edition of OK! Magazine, we wrongly stated that Katy Perry was pregnant, and that she was planning a wedding. We acknowledge that Ms. Perry is not pregnant, and she is not planning a wedding. We regret the mistake and sincerely apologize to Ms. Perry for publishing the error. We also apologize for including paparazzi photos of Ms. Perry that had been taken with a long lens while she was having a private function at her home,” OK Magazine’s official retraction indicated.
So, it all started with a report from OK! Magazine, revealing that Katy and her on-and-off boyfriend John Mayer will soon become parents. The story was actually published on the magazine’s cover. It said that the singer was two months pregnant and she was actually planning her wedding. The report alleged that Katy and John wanted a spring wedding.
Katy Perry and John Mayer are well-known for their on and off romance. The pair recently separated, months after getting back together. Sources claimed that Katy’s very busy schedule is the reason why this romance cannot work. Insiders also alleged that this even led to an issue in the couple. “John can’t handle the lack of attention, and she can’t handle the trust issues she has when she’s so far away,” a source said. “So they’ve learned that it’s better to just take a break when they can’t be in the same place,” it added.
Sources went to say that John Mayer was quite jealous of his girlfriend’s career and this is the most important reason which led to their separation.
