Famous actress Katie Holmes is not really happy when being asked about Tom Cruise. In fact, the popular Hollywood star claimed that she actually hates talking about her ex. The couple separated in 2012, after no less than 5 years of marriage. 

“I don’t want [my marriage to Cruise] to define me, to be who I am,” the popular actress claimed in an interview with People. “I don’t want that to be what I’m known as. I was an actor before, an actor during and an actor now,” the star revealed, adding that she actually has no fears now. “I don’t have any fear now, I don’t have a lot of rules for myself, and I don’t take myself that seriously,” she said.

The separation from Tom Cruise has been much debated and in fact it has been claimed that this has been a very difficult time for the 52 year old actor. Reports revealed that Cruise has been miserable following the separation and he actually wanted to make the relationship work. The former couple has a daughter together. Reports revealed that the actor in fact is a committed father to Suri. Tom Cruise has never publicly talked about the divorce from Katie Holmes. 

Katie Holmes is working at the release of a new TV series in which she will play a special role, the one of Jackie Kennedy. During her recent interview, the star also claimed that she feels ready to make some changes. The actress is set to appear as a vigilante school teacher in new movie, Miss Meadows. Of course, the star is expected to make a great performance and actually each of Katie’s appearances are highly appreciated. 

Katie went on to claim that her 8 year old daughter Suri means everything to her. The actress revealed that since she became a mom, she keeps on learning new things every day. The actress is said to not be dating anyone at the moment. She will be featured on the cover of the new issue of People magazine, which is set to hit newsstands on Friday.
