It looks like Michael’s last wish to keep his children away from media coverage won’t get to be respected after all. His mother, Katherine Jackson lost custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket.
Earlier this month everybody was looking for Katherine Jackson who was allegedly missing or even worse kidnapped. After news about the Jackson family matriarch disappearance went viral, authorities announced she was safe at home. Following all that fuss, Katherine Jackson released a statement to ABC News saying she lost custody of Michael’s three kids Prince, Paris and Blanket.
Michael Jackson’s mother explained she took a brief vacation at the Miraval Arizona Report and Spa when one of her own grandsons, T.J. Jackson secured temporary custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket. The 34-year-old son of Tito, Michael’s brother, received custody after Paris and Prince gave their consent.
“I am here today to let everybody know that I am fine and I am here with my children, and my children would never do a thing to me like that, holding me against my will” said Katherine Jackson in her taped statement sent to ABC News. “It’s very stupid for people to think that” she added.
Her statement also explains how she lost custody of Michael Jackson’s kids. “Before I left…I put everything in order with the appropriate people to take care of my children for me and it’s really bad to heat that what’s going on at home, and the children have been taken away” Katherine Jackson said.
“But since I have also been away, my guardianship, which I just said, my children, have been taken away from me, my guardianship has been taken away from me” said the 84-year-old grandmother.
Michael’s mother said she was devastated when she heard she lost custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket. But she added she was on her way home to get them back. Katherine Jackson explained she did left the kids with T.J. but has no idea how he could have received custody of the kids.
A court filing reads that T.J. wants to become permanent guardian of his uncle’s kids. It might very well be exactly what Randy, Jermaine, Janet and Rebbie Jackson wanted to have their brother’s will void. Katherine Jackson added in her statement to ABC News she has “a good idea who’s doing that and who’s behind that”.
