Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley have taken their newly adopted daughter out for a walk for the first time, says Us Weekly. The couple was spotted in Beverly Hills, California, but reporters were not able to get a clear shot of the baby they adopted on April 25.
Katherine Heigl is the proud mom of two! The actress announced in April that she adopted her second daughter whose name remains unknown for the moment. The couple already has a daughter, Naleigh, who was adopted from South Korea in 2009.
The “One For The Money” star and her husband, Josh Kelley, were photographed with their second child for the first time this Saturday. They were visiting some friends and they decided to bring their new member of the family with them. The little girl’s face was not visible because her parents were carrying her in a car seat covered with a blanket. Both Katherine and her husband were wearing beach-inspired clothes. The actress was dressed with a nude blouse and a pair of cropped white pants. Kelley, on the other hand, opted for a pair of short trousers and a white T-shirt.
Heigl and singer Kelley decided to tie the knot in 2007 and two years later, they adopted their first baby, Naleigh. Many people have been wondering why the two don’t have children of their own, so the actress explained that her elder sister, Meg, was adopted three years before she was born. Given that Heigl’s parents adopted Meg from Korea, the 33-year-old actress wanted her family to be very similar to the one she grew up in and that is why she chose to make her first adoption from South Korea.
Heigl considers that she is very lucky that she gets along with her husband when it comes to adopting. According to one of her previous declarations, the two started talking about adoption before they were even engaged and they both agreed on the matter. Heigl hasn’t revealed any details about her recent adoption process, nor did she say whether she plans to make other adoptions in the future.
