A poignant case in which we’ve all been there. On September 29, Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the world premiere of No Time to Die in London and turned heads with exquisite designer clothing. The duchess in particular seemed to pay the tribute of her former mother-inlaw by wearing a dress that resembled the one that Princess Diana was seen wearing in 1985. Now, DailyGossip has new details which confirm that her dress was in fact deliberate.
The mother of three put her hair with a gorgeous updo. It looked so chic with her double take-worthy gold dress. “Kate had her own Bond girl moment at the No Time to Die premiere,” an insider close to the duchess’s actress informs DailyGossip. “She oozed confidence and old school Hollywood glamor.”

The insider goes on to say, “William was in awe of Kate when she led her down the red carpet and interacted with the crowd and Charles and Camilla – bringing a sense of unity , and also being a beacon of hope to the public that the Royal family continues to be alive and well.
She looked gorgeous in her Jenny Packham gown and made headlines and front page news across the globe because everyone spoke about how beautiful she appeared.”
There were more aspects to her style than just a desire to appear elegant; she was looking to pay tribute to the princess of Wales in the most meaningful way she could. “Kate admired Diana’s taste in fashion before William came into her life,” the source said. “During her time at school, she would inform her friends she thought Diana was her fashion idol.
It is not accurate to claim it is the case that Kate is trying to emulate Diana as the most stylish royal family member. The more accurate explanation is that she’s taking inspiration from Diana, the late Princess, and wants to honor her at the time of the No Time to Die premiere by wearing the dress Diana used to wear during her View To A Kill premiere.”

The resemblance of the two gowns is awe-inspiring. Diana’s metallic style was created by Bruce Oldfield and, like Middleton’s, it featured an elongated “V” neckline, statement shoulders and a waist cinched.
This isn’t the only time that Middleton has paid her respects to princess Diana -It’s like it won’t be the last.
