Actress Kate Hudson has given birth to a baby boy on Saturday night, Us Weekly confirms. This is the actress’s second child, and first child with fiancée Matt Bellamy.
Kate Hudson has become a mom for the second time in her life. According to her representative, the Oscar-nominated star has given birth to “a healthy baby boy” in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday night.
The new baby is welcomed by a family of three: mom Kate, who is 32 years old, dad Matt, who is 33 years old and brother Ryder, who is now 7 years old.
Months before giving birth, Hudson told Elle UK magazine that “[the baby] is lovely”.
Back in January, she told the Us magazine more about how her pregnancy affected her behavior and way of functioning. “I babble a lot. I forget words. And how to put sentences together,” she said. “I just give up”. She also said that the second pregnancy is very different than the first one. “This is a totally different pregnancy, completely” she admitted in April. “It couldn’t be more opposite…” Hudson continued, explaining that when she was pregnant with Ryder, she did not have a nursery because she did not have a house until she was in the third trimester of the pregnancy.
The actress first confirmed her pregnancy in January. She and frontman of the muse, Matt Bellamy met a few years ago in Australia, but didn’t start their relationship until late spring in 2010. They got engaged in April 2011 and days later Hudson showed off a 200,000 dollars worth diamond ring at the Today Show.
Before announcing their engagement, the Something Borrowed star had said that she doesn’t find it necessary to get married again. “I already have one child, and have had one divorce,” she said “so it is not necessarily the golden ticket. I just want to be happy.” And she seemed pretty happy while pregnant. She even admitted to the Marie Claire magazine last month that “I love being pregnant! Gosh, I could be pregnant all the time.”
According to several people close to the couple cited by Us Weekly, the parents are really happy about their new bundle of joy and Kate is “crazy about him.”
