Reality TV star Kate Gosselin recently told Access Hollywood that she wants her new guy to be older and wiser than her ex husband. Gosselin, 36, confessed she is really concerned about her chances of meeting somebody who will be able to get past the public aspects of her life.

On Friday, the mother of eight told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover from Access Hollywood Live that her ideal romantic life partner for the future would have to be older than her. Her ex husband, Jon Gosselin, was two years younger than her and it appears that the age difference had a certain impact on their personal life. At least, that’s how Kate sees it.
“Obviously, this time, I’m looking for somebody older, wiser, patient, strong” the “Kate plus 8” star told the TV hosts.  She also finds it important that the chosen man would be able to cope with her celebrity status “He’s just gonna have to get past all the TV stuff and stand the test of time.”

After breaking-up with her husband Jon and then getting divorced, she was very criticized on the way she understood to take care of her 8 children. However, she states that being a mother of eight is very challenging, especially because it is very hard to find time for yourself. She says she has “humongous obstacles” when it comes to meeting men. “I’m doing mom things so it is a true concern, like how will I ever be out there to meet somebody.”

Her TV show, “Kate plus 8”, a following of the initial reality show “Jon and Kate plus 8”, is on vacation for the summer, but will be back on TLC starting Monday night at 9 p.m.
