Justin Timberlake gets invited to Marine Ball, too

After a Marine Sergeant invited actress Mila Kunis as his date to a Marine Corps Ball which will take place in November, her Friends With Benefits co-star, Justin Timberlake, gets invited, too. According to ABC News, he was invited through the same YouTube video “recipe” by a Virginia –based Marine, Kelsey De Santis.

Well, well … it seems like the pop star turned actor Justin Timberlake has his own fans in the Marines. After his co-star Mila Kunis received an invitation through a video uploaded on YouTube by Marine Sgt. Scott Moore, asking her to the Marine Corps Ball, he got invited as well.

It all started with a bet. Scott Moore, who is a data systems technician with the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, currently located in Musa Qala, Afghanistan, told ABC News through an email how he got to invite Kunis out, explaining how the bet with his platoon mates went.
“We all talk about what we are going to do when we get back, and this was my dream, Moore said.” Then his colleagues turned it into a bet and, as he said, “a bet between Marines must be honored, so I took the chance. You can’t make shots that you don’t take, so I took the best shot I could.” He also admitted it was a long shot and he feels bad that he had to put her “on the spot”, but “it’s not like I was going to bump into her on the streets of Musa Qala between now and the ball.”

Moore’s video lasts only 20 seconds and it is filmed in the American camp, in Musa Qala. He asked for the viewers’ help to make it happen, through a message posted below the video. In a matter of hours, the televisions made a flash news story about it and Fox asked Mila Kunis is she would do it. Justin Timberlake, who was also invited in the studio, said he was going work on it. “This needs to go down”.

But when Mila asked if Timberlake would come, too, he answered “They don’t want me. They want you”. Well, Justin, now they want you, too. Kelsey De Santis, who is also attending the Marines Ball on November 18, took the opportunity of inviting the actor. She also made a video invitation and joked saying “If you can’t go, all I can say is, cry me a river.” See the whole video below.
