Simon Cowell, Anne Hathaway, Lady Gaga and now Justin Bieber. It’s obviously Matt Groening’s “The Simpsons” is like a confirmation of popularity for stars today, whether it’s a mockery or simply a tribute that’s another story. But Justin Bieber is part of that A-list too, after the teen announced he made it in “The Simpsons” earlier this week.
Fox’s “The Simpsons” runs since 1989. It’s a great cartoon world, with yellow people where a working class family struggles with each day’s adventures. It’s Mat Groening’s most popular show and when a celebrity makes it in one of its episodes it’s a clear sign we’re talking about viral stars. Justin Bieber was just confirmed to have reached that level, as he scored a gig in one of the upcoming episodes of the “The Simpsons”.
It was so exciting, Justin Bieber might have leaked the news about him making a cameo for a “Simpsons” episode a bit too soon. “just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!!#swaggy” tweeted a very thrilled 18-year-old. The tweet was published Monday, but was deleted in the meanwhile, leaving executive producer Al Jean the honor of announcing the good news.
“It’s a cameo, but all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he’s on” said Al Jean of Justin Bieber’s upcoming gig in “The Simpsons”. The 18-year-old “As Long As You Love Me” singer will make his “Simpsons” debut in an episode called “The Fabulous Faker Boy”. The Justin Bieber episode of “The Simpsons” will air 2013.
“The Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean says that Justin Bieber will try to join a talent show, but his attempts are hindered. “He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won’t admit him. Draw your own conclusions” said Al Jean.
Fox’s long-running show “The Simpsons” is at its 24th season. Entertainment Weekly announced the new season will feature a great list of celebrity guests. Edward Norton and Steve Carell are on top of the list, but Zooey Deschanel, Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman are reported to cameo and make appearances in “The Simpsons”. The first episode of the new season of “The Simpsons” will air September 30.
