When first reports that Katy Perry decided to make John Mayer her man first surfaced, most fans were worried such a relationship will only end up in tragedy. Last week there were more and more reports that Katy Perry and John Mayer called it quits. While everybody was waiting for the drama, both stars kept mum.

USA Today said John Mayer’s short haircut is “almost as drastic as Miley Cyrus’ shorn locks in the celeb world”. People reports John Mayer cut his hair Friday afternoon at the Sally Hershberger salon in Los Angeles.
Other tabloid media said John Mayer’s short hair is some kind of a “post-breakup ‘do”. But so far sources suggest only Katy Perry is having a hard time over the breakup. So what’s up with John Mayer’s short hair?
A source told RadarOnline.com, “John did a real number on Katy”. Apparently the star told Russell Brand’s ex-wife he is a changed man, but their casual relationship ended before it even had a chance to start.
Moreover insiders say Katy Perry was thinking about really getting serious with John Mayer. “She doesn’t want to get her heart broken again, but she feels a real connection and wants to see where thing go” a source said.
An insider told Us Weekly, Katy Perry is having a hard time after the breakup from John Mayer. “She’s really upset about it. She is making it seem like it wasn’t serious with John, but she is hurt” said the source.
But the “Teenage Dream” singer should have known better. In the end, John Mayer is quite the ladies man, and most of his exes aren’t exactly his best friends. A source however believes that’s not the case with Katy Perry. “They’ll end up as friends. They were honestly having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was” one source told People.
