In today’s world of entertainment, the standard for what they call “beauty” is quite high. Singer-songwriter Jewel Kilcher has been put through a lot of scrutiny over her bad teeth. After years of that, Jewel found a good enough reason to fix her smile. She is preparing her role in flick “Ring of Fire”.

Truth be told, Jewel was quite difficult to recognize in the photo the singer tweeted on Tuesday. It was the first photo of her taking the look of June Carter Cash, the upcoming Lifetime movie called “Ring of Fire”. Jewel is looking amazing with long, curly dark hair, blue eyes and a perfect smile.

The singer tweeted the photo along with the following message:  “Here I am as June in my trailer with her blue eyes and perfect teeth #ringoffire”.

Jewel Kilcher will be playing June Carter Cash, the lead role in the Lifetime movie based on the book “Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash”. According to TheBoot.com, the upcoming flick will follow “June from her early childhood in the rural mountains of Virginia through her rise to fame with the Carter Sisters”.

The movie will also focus on June Carter Cash’s “first two marriages and her tumultuous, yet storybook romance with the American treasure who would become her third husband, Johnny Cash”.

For Jewel, playing June Carter Cash is without a doubt a huge opportunity. At 38 years old, Jewel’s transformation in June is amazing and chances are she’s going to get several awards or at least nominations for her performance. In the end, although it is her first major acting debut, there’s something about Jewel that reminds us of June.

Executive vice President of Programming rob Sharenow said of the flick and Jewel’s casting: “Many people know about the legendary love story of Johnny and June. But June Carter Cash has her own epic journey filled with triumphs, tragedies, loves and losses”. He concluded saying “we’re thrilled Jewel will be playing the title role”

At the same time, not many people get to have such a big transformation. Her almost crocked smile is now perfect, but Yahoo’s Our Country blog believes it’s not a permanent fix. It is assumed the singer put on dental caps to achieve June Carter Cash’s perfect smile.
