Famous actress Jennifer Lawrence made an interesting revelation. The popular Hollywood star claimed that she is proud of dropping out of middle school. Of course, the reason why Jennifer made this decision was to be able to pursue her acting career.

Jennifer talked about her decision to drop out of school during an interview with 60 Minutes. She left school at the age of only 14. Jennifer revealed during the discussion that she is self-educated. “I dropped out of middle school. I don’t technically have a GED or a diploma. I am self-educated,” the actress said.

Of course, the next question that Jennifer was asked was if she had any regrets linked to that decision. And it seems that Jennifer is certain that she made the right call. “No. I really don’t. I wanted to forge my own path. I found what I wanted to do, and I didn’t want anything getting in the way of it. Even friends, for many years, were not as important to me as my career. I mean, from the age of 14.”

So, without a doubt it seems that Jennifer has known from a very young age that what she wanted to do was to act. She also said that school was not easy for her when all she wanted to do was acting. “And when I’m reading the script and I feel like I know exactly what it would look like if somebody felt that way, that was the whole part of my brain that I didn’t even know existed—something that I could be confident in and I didn’t want to let it go.”

As expected, Jennifer said that her parents were not very happy with the fact that she wanted to drop out of school. “And to get people to try to understand that, when you’re 14 years old wanting to drop out of school and do this, and your parents are just like ‘You’re out of your mind.'”
