Some called it a 90210 reunion, but in the end there were just three friends supporting one of them as she is venturing into a new project. Shannen Doherty, Ian Ziering and Jennie Garth were seen this Thursday at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. They weren’t there to plan a 90210 reunion but to celebrate Jennie Garth’s new reality show and her 40th birthday.
Jennie Garth seems to be needing all the support she can get. The actress is going through a rough time as last month she ended 11 years of marriage with actor Peter Facinelli. Last night, Jennie Garth made an appearance at the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” where she talked a bit about the changes in her life and the upcoming projects.
On March 28th, Peter Facinelli was filing for divorce based on “irreconcilable differences”. Obviously the moment wasn’t so easy to go through, but according to Garth the issue showed her she was stronger than what she imagined. The couple has three kids together: Luca 14, Lola 9 and Fiona 5.
“It’s not something I’m dying to talk about, but it’s something that’s going on in my life” the 90210 star told Ellen, adding she was not ashamed to talk about it.
In this context, Jennie Garth celebrated her 40th birthday and it would only make sense to have friends next to her. Shannen Doherty and Ian Ziering were there not only to give their best for Garth’s birthday, but also to support her as she launched her new CMT reality series called: “Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country”.
Of the show, Garth told Show Tracker: “Ah!! I don’t like to call it a reality series. I don’t look at it that way – that term sort of conjures up bad images in my head. This is really a follow-doc. I never thought I’d be letting people into my life like this, but I’m glad I did”.
Jennie Garth’s new reality show premiered this Friday and it seems to have had quite some success with the public. The show follows Garth as she and her kids move to rural Los Angeles. Garth said: “I think it’s a fun little show, and it’s got a great heart. I hope that people see my intention behind making it. It’s certainly not a platform for me to be more famous”.
